2027 marks the 10th anniversary edition of the Glacier Trail — THE trail running event in the Diamond of the Alps. Reach new heights in Obergurgl, a mountain village tucked away in the Austrian Alps.The races kick off at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters in the center of Obergurgl. The 5 technically demanding trails have an elevation gain ranging from 800 to 3.600hm:
14 km (800hm),
26 km (1,900hm),
42 km (2,800hm),
62 km (3,600hm).
100 km (10th anniversary special).
Yeah, I know, this is gonna hurt. But the breathtaking glacier views of the Ötztal Valley will totally make up for it!

And if trail running isn't your thing, Gurgl is just as much a paradise for hikers.
With more than 150 km of hiking trails, you can expect panoramic views of countless 3,000-meter peaks stretching as far as the eye can see.
And if you're after an even more relaxed experience, the cable car hikes make the high alpine terrain easily accessible. Ride the lifts to higher elevations and simply enjoy spectacular mountain scenery without tackling every ascent on foot.

And just so you don’t have to worry about getting there, your bus ride from Luxembourg City to Obergurgl and back is included!

Surrounded by 21 mountains over 3,000 metres high, the THE MOSS Hotel is our perfect race base high in the Tyrolean Alps!And the best part for us runners? The start, finish, and race expo are all just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.The 15-24 m² Double Room (single or double occupancy) offer a relaxing, natural atmosphere thanks to the Alpine interior design materials. It features a king-size double bed, bathroom with shower, WiFi and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have a balcony.Kick off your day with a hearty and varied breakfast buffet (included).
On race day, the hotel will prepare a breakfast package for the early starters (42+62 km).Each evening, the kitchen team serves a flavorful two-course dinner, and on the evening before the race, a Pasta Party (included). Vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free options available.

Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Alpine mountains, the SPA areas at The Moss and at the partner hotel Chalet Obergurgl (located directly behind our hotel) offer soothing moments of deep relaxation. Enjoy the Finnish sauna and classic steam bath at The Moss, as well as the spacious wellness area with its 32 °C heated indoor pool at Chalet Obergurgl. The chill-out areas invite you to unwind at your own pace.Klárka from Hope For Your Body (Luxembourg) will be offering massages at the spa.
